The University of Montana in Missoula carries on a tradition of 117 years of academic excellence while providing students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community with a wealth of knowledge, culture, and quality of life.
Montana’s flagship public university in was founded in 1893 at the foot of 5,158-feet-tall Mount Sentinel. The university’s study-hard, play-hard ethos has earned the school and its town a reputation as a “Rocky Mountain Berkeley.”
Student enrollment as of Fall Semester 2010 is 15,642 which includes the Missoula UM campus and the College of Technology.
