Bikes and Pedestrians

The extensive network of biking lanes and pedestrian paths in Missoula make it one of the most active communities in the country. A number of groups and organizations support the continued enhancement of Missoula’s biking and pedestrian systems.

One such group, the Missoula Bike Club, contains a wealth of information about local events and resources.

The Missoula Bike/Walk Alliance is a non-profit that advocates to enhance biking and walking for both transportation and recreation.

Missoula in Motion is another local group devoted to reducing the number of single-occupancy cars on the road by promoting biking, walking, and other transportation alternatives.

If it’s off-road recreation you seek, numerous nearby trails and paths are just a stone’s throw away.
