In 1979, just like many construction companies, Edgell Building got its start as a small custom home remodeling company. Small jobs led to bigger jobs, and rigid attention to detail, innovative ideas, and an unwillingness to accept what was considered the norm, propelled the company to become one of Missoula’s premier construction companies.
As the companies horizons expanded, Edgell Building also began to develop neighborhoods, not just subdivisions. The Prospect neighborhood is one of Missoula’s most sought after neighborhoods, and one of many communities that Edgell Building has developed over the years. Hellgate Meadows is Missoula’s first Traditional Neighborhood design, introducing small narrow lot layouts, coupled with front porches close to the street. It is a very friendly and family-oriented neighborhood.

Edgell Building is a family business. David and Sylvia have three children and seven grandchildren. Our youngest son Mark has been with the company since 2006, and will continue the tradition of providing our clients with a great building experience and superior final product.
