Missoula Children’s Theatre Auditions: Moon Over Buffalo

What better way to get through the January blues than with a Ken Ludwig comedic FARCE?!!  To kick things off, the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) is holding an open, welcoming AUDITION for Moon Over Buffalo, Sunday, November 16th.  Adults 18 and older are welcome to come anytime between the hours of Noon to 3:00PM, with callbacks starting at 3:30PM.  This play is rated PG-13- Parental Guidance Recommended.  The performance dates are January 15-25, 2026.

Director Jasmine Sherman, Co-founder of MissCast Productions, brings a wealth of stage experience to the project, including directing MCT’s Puffs in 2023.  She looks to cast 8 roles for male and female-presenting actors with great comedic timing and physical comedy abilities. Stage combat experience is a plus, but not necessary.  Sherman mentions “There’s nothing more fun than a farce!  We are going to put together a fast-paced, very silly show and it’s going to be a blast.” The play is set in the early 1950’s with dated adult humor so Sherman continued to say that “It should be noted that some updates have been made to the script if you’ve read an older version.”

Roles to be cast are George Hay (40s-50s), Charlotte Hay (40s-50s), Ethel (60+), Rosaline (20s-early 30s), Howard (30s), Eileen (30s), Paul (20s-early 30s) and Richard (30s-50s).

Availability for this 2-week run is important, yet there will be no rehearsals December 22nd-27th, and December 31st-Jan 2nd to allow the cast and crew to enjoy a Holiday break before the slapstick comedy hits the stage. Please use the Main Street entrance and proceed to the 3rd floor to complete an audition form. Tickets on sale now at MCTinc.org, (406) 728-7529 or Noon-5PM at MCT.
