Athletes from any state are welcome to compete as the MSO does not have a state residency requirement. This year’s games are a qualifying event for the 2022 National Senior Games, slated for May 10-23 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Regular registration is open through August 20; late registration closes on August 27. The registration fee through August 20 is $28 per athlete plus $4 per event. Eight local hotels are offering special rates for MSO participants.

Local sports venues include Fort Missoula Regional Park, Canyon River Golf Club, Westside Lanes, Peak Health and Wellness Center, UM Dornblaser Field, City Life Community Center, Hellgate Archery Range and more. Athletes will compete in archery, badminton, basketball, bowling, cycling, golf, horseshoes, pickleball, racewalk, road race, shuffleboard, swimming, table tennis, track & field, and tennis.

The Montana Senior Olympics would not be possible without the generosity of our volunteers and community. Volunteering for the MSO is a wonderful way to serve your community, see some great sports action and make new friends. Volunteer shifts average three hours in length; volunteers may choose the day and number of shifts. Volunteers receive a t-shirt and discounted admission to the September 10 Athlete Awards Banquet. Sign up to volunteer at www.volunteermissoula.org.
