Centerfield Cinema: Stop Making Sense

Ready to have a (safe, socially-distanced) dance party? This may be as close as we see to a concert under the Big Sky this summer!

The Missoula PaddleHeads, in conjunction with The Roxy Theater have announced a partnership to host Centerfield Cinema, a weekly movie series at Ogren Park Allegiance Field, every Thursday. Stadium gates will open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. showing. Tickets are available to purchase in advance from the PaddleHeads website  or the night of each showing at the Ogren Park Allegiance Field box office.

Three ticketing options are available to patrons: $20 – on-field 10’x10’ social distanced squares for up to four people, $40 – on-field 20’x10’ social distanced squares for up to eight people, and individual tickets available in the seating bowl – $5 adults, $2 for children 12 and under.

STOP MAKING SENSE: Director Jonathan Demme captures the frantic energy and artsy groove of Talking Heads in this concert movie shot at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in 1983. The band’s frontman, David Byrne, first appears on an empty stage, armed with only an acoustic guitar, and is gradually joined by bassist Tina Weymouth, drummer Chris Frantz, keyboardist Jerry Harrison and a cadre of backup singers as they perform the band’s hits, culminating in an iconic performance featuring Byrne in an enormous suit.
