An HVAC installer will load and unload materials and equipment, and install ductwork, gas piping, and heating and cooling equipment. Construction experience is required, preferably with a background in HVAC installation. Applicants should be familiar with common HVAC terminology and a wide variety of materials, tools, and installation troubleshooting techniques. Requirements include the ability to read blueprints and diagrams, be able to quickly learn HVCAC codes, and become EPA and gas piping certified. Technicians provide their own hand tools.
