Requirements include the ability to sweep and shovel sawdust and wood shavings into cleanup hoppers, the ability to climb ladders and work in enclosed spaces, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A full-time manual machinist earns $19 per hour at a Missoula manufacturing business. This job consists of manual machining plastic material into custom components. It requires constant standing and continuous movement with two 10-minute breaks and a half-hour lunch. Applicants must be able to work overtime, weekends, and in rough weather. Employers will work up to 14 hours per day and up to 7 days a week during the busy construction season. This job requires traveling for extended periods of time to various jobsite locations. Needed is a well-rounded worker with construction experience in drywall, paint, finish carpentry, and general construction, and with a good knowledge of all tools.
