City of Missoula Storm Updates

Clean-up from Monday’s thunderstorms continues throughout the City.  The City of Missoula would like to remind citizens of the following items:

  • Power has been restored at Splash Montana waterpark. The facility will open for regular hours on Thursday, August 13.  Swim lessons will meet as scheduled and recreation swim will begin at 11:30 a.m.
  • The City has received reports of tree debris blocking alleys.  The debris cannot be removed until downed utility lines are cleared.  The Urban Forestry Division is coordinating with Northwestern Energy to help clear alleyways as soon as possible.

Call 552-6253 or visit the Missoula Parks website for more information.
  • The drop site at McCormick Park close on Sunday, August 23, due to a large construction project at Silver Summit playground.  Alternative sites are available at the Pattee Creek and Stephens parking lot in Playfair Park and at the Fort Missoula South Avenue parking lot.  Please do not dump tree debris at on Bancroft Street at Playfair Park.
