Missoula Parks & Rec Hosts Old-Fashioned Fall Family Fest Oct 18

Fall is here… it’s time for hayrides, apple cider and old-fashioned harvest festivals. The folks at Missoula Parks and Recreation have cooked up some traditional fall fun and are inviting kids and their families to the 14th Annual Fall Family Fest and Kaboom! Play Day on October 18 at McCormick Park, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Fall Family Fest is great fun for the whole family and includes wheelchair-accessible hayrides, the great pumpkin hunt, crafts for all ages, s’mores, face painting, parachute and cooperative games, Parks Peak climbing wall, cider pressing, active games, live music and much more.  Kids can check out the new Silver Summit playground in McCormick Park, and food and beverage vendors will be on hand.

As a nationally recognized “Playful City USA,” Missoula celebrates Kaboom! Play Day as part of Fall Family Fest to help build awareness for the importance of play and strengthen our community.  The suggested donation is $1 per person; proceeds benefit “Share The Fun” Youth Recreation Grants.
