This job requires a relevant bachelor’s degree (human services, social work, psychology, nursing, gerontology) and two years of relevant experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience. Volunteer work may be considered in evaluating work experience. Applicants must be able to attain Montana certifications in the following areas: Reverse Annuity Mortgage, Information and Assistance, and State Health Insurance and Counseling Program. A seasonal job is open for a noxious weed technician. At least a year of experience in noxious weed control / range management is required. Someone who has or is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in ecology, forestry, environmental conservation or a related field is needed. This job requires someone with a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record who can be insurable for the company. Reliable transportation and a background check are required. Engine bosses, fire fighters and camp crew members are wanted for the fire season. Employees must have red card or yellow card certificates, pack test certificates and their own safety gear, fire-fighting boots, sleeping bag and tent. Those without proper certification will be directed to a training schedule. Camp crews set up and take down camps and provide support for everyone; spots are limited for this job and pay varies. Firefighters will fight fires in the northwestern states. Duties are on the engine crew, providing water to the hand crew, structure protection and general fire suppression activities.
