A local laboratory seeks a Quality Control Technician. This individual will perform a variety of quality assurance inspections as well as testing and analysis to assure that all products meet or exceed established specifications.

This position requires a high school diploma and three years’ experience in quality assurance or quality control. The employer prefers four years of college education and experience with computers (in particular: statistical software, Access, and MAPICS). The job necessitates strong organization skills and visual acuity.

The Quality Control Technician will inspect and test samples for key control characteristics as listed in the product specification during all stages of production. He or she will perform the necessary inventory movement transactions and label products with release tags. The technician also must keep current with regulatory changes affecting quality control testing in the dietary supplement and pharmaceutical industries.

This is a full-time position, with primarily weekday hours, although some weekends may be required. The company has branches in both Missoula and Lolo. The starting wage is between $12.50 and $14.85 per hour.

A State Agency seeks an Outreach Consultant to work with hearing-impaired children. The employer prefers a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education and previous experience working with deaf and hard-of-hearing children in an education setting.

Applicants with degrees in related fields of special education, speech or audiology and previous experience working with deaf and hard-of-hearing children will be considered. The Outreach Consultant will serve deaf and hard-of-hearing children in their home communities by providing information, technical assistance and consultation with the goal of promoting appropriate intervention strategies and educational practices for deaf and hard of hearing children in Montana.

The successful applicant will facilitate the implementation of the Family Advisor Program, which involves home-based early intervention services for infants and preschool age children. In addition, the consultant provides classroom support, consultation and technical assistance for school age children. This is a full-time position that pays from $30,628.00 to $36,571.00 yearly.
