Missoula Halloween in the Grant Creek Neighborhood

By CAROL BLODGETT

Call me crazy…but I think the Grant Creek Neighborhood of Missoula has some of the BEST Halloween costumes and trick-or-treaters that you’ll find ANYWHERE! I grew up on the south side of Missoula in a house built back from busy 39th Street.  To have even a half-dozen trick-or-treaters was a thrill.

So imagine my delight to give out between 200-300 pieces of candy tonight and for the past few years.  In case you live in one of those sleepy little neighborhoods and you missed out on experiencing the fun…here’s a little ‘eye candy’ for the soul.  Do you recognize any of these kids?

I have to say, the Pink Ladies won my vote tonight for originality and best overall presentation, but Daniel Boone (last year he was George Washington) won my heart, as he wouldn’t accept any candy.  Instead, he was passing the hat raising money for the Epilepsy Foundation. Right on Daniel!
