New Belgium Brewing’s Missoula Clips of Faith stop raised more than $4,600 for Bike/Walk Alliance for Missoula.

Clips of Faith, New Belgium Brewing’s traveling beer and film festival, raised $4,670 at its Missoula stop on August 17, up more than $2,000 from last year.

More than 200 people rode their bikes on a beautiful night to enjoy this year’s Clips of Faith. The hot Montana sun set on a beautiful night with about 750 coming out to enjoy the films.

All proceeds from the stop will go to Bike/Walk Alliance for Missoula, which promotes bicycling and walking for everyday transportation by making them safe and enjoyable in the Five Valley area.

This was the 12th stop for the 2012 national tour, now in its third year. The tour will travel to 18 cities this year, showcasing amateur films while pouring beer from the hard-to-find Lips of Faith series, as well as a few popular New Belgium classics.

Each stop along the tour features an outdoor screening of the collected films, a tasting of New Belgium’s beers and food from local vendors.

  • ATTENDANCE: 750 film and beer enthusiasts; about 217 of those in attendance arrived on bike
  • MONEY RAISED: $4,670, up more than $2,000 from last year

  • WASTE DIVERSION RATE: 87 percent
