Missoula Police Department Patrols for Holiday DUI

The Missoula Police Department will staff additional DUI enforcement patrols this weekend with an emphasis on Saturday night into Sunday morning.  Our goal is to prevent crashes by removing impaired drivers from our streets and highways.

Recently, there have been several serious injury crashes and fatal crashes in the Missoula area as a result of impaired drivers.  This includes drivers under the influence of alcohol or other drugs including prescription drugs that impair their ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

Please plan ahead with a designated driver and if you don’t have a ride there are several options available to get home safe.  Below is a list of Safe Ride Options in Missoula County.

  • Yellow Cab 543-6644
  • Green Taxi 728-8294
  • Home Safe Missoula- Certain bars are members if you have patronized this establishment
  • Ucallus 880-1673

Missoula Designated Driver Program- At participating bars, ask your server for a sober driver wristband.  Get free soda all night.  Give the wristband back to the server when you are ready to leave, with your name and number on it.  Ask for a different wristband if you go to a different location.

The Montana Highway Patrol along with the Missoula County Sheriff’s Department will also have additional patrols, along with the help of the Missoula community we can make this a safe weekend.
