Hands on learning!

Montana Natural History Center

The Montana Natural History Center helps cultivate the understanding, appreciation, and stewardship of nature through education.

With a variety of programs for all ages, the Center helps both children and adults develop the knowledge and skills necessary to become a bonafide Montana Naturalist.

The Center offers a number of age appropriate summer day camp programs for kindergarteners to teens.

There is also a fabulous 40- hour Master Naturalist course. This course teaches about identifying Montana’s rocks, plants, and animals, and much, much more.

Not ready to commit to 40 hours? There are still great ways to get involved with the best of Montana nature. Try a Saturday Discovery Day adventure or become a Missoula Restoration Volunteer.
