Hiring is beginning for numerous full-time, part-time and seasonal retail staff positions at a Missoula business. They will assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions in various departments. Besides sales, positions are open in inventory control, warehouse, administration, firearms inspections, maintenance/housekeeping, switchboard and more. Applicants must have high school diplomas or equivalent, attention to detail, ability to be team players, and courteous and professional communication skills. General knowledge of company products, retail practices and procedures is preferred. Departments include casual wear, footwear, gifts, camo, camping, archery, fishing, hunting, and marine. Wage depends on experience. Full-time applicants must be able to work anytime. Part-time and seasonal applicants need at least 20 hours of availability, including at least one full weekend day. If you enjoy working with people and animals, a full-time animal shelter attendant job might be a good fit. This job requires a high-school diploma or GED, two years of direct contact with the public and clerical duties, and demonstrated experience performing heavy physical labor. A valid Montana driver’s license is needed and the successful candidate will be required to take a pre-employment physical. Duties include animal care, dispatch, maintenance, reception and clerical support. Wage is $12.75 per hour. This job closes on February 28. A local employer is taking applications now for seasonal firefighting jobs. Engine bosses, wildland firefighters and camp crew positions are open. Firefighters and camp crew must have red card or yellow card certificates, pack test certificate and their own safety gear, firefighting boots, sleeping bag and tent. Training is under way for necessary certification. Camp crew sets up and takes down camps, provides support for everyone and performs other duties as assigned. These spots are limited and pay varies. Firefighters on the engine crew fight fires in the northwestern states, providing water to the hand crews, structure protection and general fire suppression activities. Wage is $200 per day. Engine boss pay is $350 – $400 per day. Hours for all jobs are varied and long. This is job #2986156.

A traveling CNA is needed by an area healthcare network in western Montana. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent a current Nursing Assistant Certification in Montana and current BLS certification. Other requirements include a Montana driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and at least one year of field experience. The CNA provides quality nursing care to patients; implements specific procedures and programs; coordinates work within the department and other departments; reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responds to inquiries or requests for information; and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations. The job requires moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Job location is as assigned and may require travel. Wage depends on experience. A mileage stipend, travel accommodations, and short notice bonus are provided.
