Not a one horse town

Missoula isn't just hiking, skiing, and fishing. The "Garden City" is a hub of local art and culture, complete with a variety of museums and galleries.

Museums & Galleries

Home to an abundance of artists and artisans, it’s no wonder that the city is rich with galleries and events that showcase the arts.

With a diverse array of local museums, art galleries, and artistic educational opportunities, Missoula’s art scene is as rich and diverse as its landscape.

Interested in sampling Missoula’s fine arts? Enjoy a Friday night outing and attend First Friday Gallery Night. Held the first Friday of every month, Gallery Nights offer Missoulians the opportunity to meet new artists and mingle over refreshments.

See our Missoula galleries page for more information about Missoula galleries.

Missoula is also home to some unique and exciting museums. From the Montana Museum of Art & Culture that houses over 10,000 works including historic, contemporary, and Montana regional art –  to the Museum of Mountain Flying that preserves the legends, lore, and historical legacy of pilots of the Rocky Mountain West – to several additional museums of unique topical interest, Missoula museums are definitely worth a visit. Check out our museum page for more information about them all.

For more information about Missoula’s arts, culture, and entertainment, visit the sites of the Missoula CVB, the Missoula Cultural Council, and the Missoula Downtown Association.
