As the month of March draws to a close this week, the Brain Injury Alliance of Montana will celebrate increased awareness of brain injury with our 3rd annual fundraiser, Bowl for Brain Strong, taking place at Five Valley Bowl, in Missoula, MT on Saturday, April 2, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Since the annual event will be held this year at 5 Valleys Bowl, it is the perfect “last chance” for bowlers to strike on 5 Valley’s Bowl lanes! What’s more, win a $1,000 cash purse, donated by CarWerks, for the bowler* who bowls a perfect game!
“This event provides an opportunity for survivors and family caregivers to participate alongside businesses who financially offer their support for brain injury awareness and prevention in fun, social setting,” said Sahra Susman, Outreach Coordinator for the BIAMT.
Participants will feel good knowing that they are bowling for a cause. The day includes bowling, a silent auction, lunch and of course fun! A participation sponsorship is $250 for a team of six and includes shoe rental, lunch and soft drinks for the team and a team photo taken at the event. And, awesome auction items have been donated by businesses throughout Missoula for bowlers to silently bid in between their turns on the lane. Title sponsor Community Medical Center will offer gift bags and media sponsor Cherry Creek Radio will turn up the volume on fun! The funds raised from this event will support awareness and prevention of brain injury through the BIAMT.
The Brain Injury Alliance of Montana (BIAMT) is the only organization in the state dedicated solely to the purpose of assisting persons with brain injury and their families. BIAMT is dedicated to providing education, support, advocacy, resources and referrals for individuals with brain injuries and their families. Montana is second in the nation, per capita, for the number of traumatic brain injury related deaths. Every month, 25 Montanans sustain a brain injury and die. Every day, 33 Montanans sustain a brain injury and live!
(*If more than one perfect game occurs, bowlers will split prize equally.)
