This requires two years’ of formal training beyond high school or three years of related work experience or a combination of education and experience. This position requires a high-school diploma or equivalent; a two-year technical degree or greater is preferred and at least one year experience in a related field is preferred, or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience in refrigeration, electronics, electric, plumbing and welding is required, along with certification /authorization in forklift, pallet jack, lockout/ tag out, fall protection, confined-space entry, man lifts, and scissor lifts. The successful candidate will be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen and the pulmonary test for refrigeration positions. Duties include maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment, welding and fabrication, pipe fitting, boiler maintenance, insulating, installing, aligning and balancing new equipment, and repairing the building structure, floors and stairs. Hours vary for this full-time job, but are usually on an evening shift.
