MISA Offers Toddler Time Soccer Basics

By KIM S.

Since moving to Missoula from Seattle I am still trying to learn all the new “places” for taking Turbo and Tinker Bell during the week to keep us moving, learning, and making new friends. This past week I was excited to learn about a toddler time that teaches soccer basics as well as pre-school fundamentals at the new Missoula Indoor Soccer Arena.

Upon our arrival, I found the staff very friendly and helpful. As soon Turbo saw the other kids chasing soccer balls and heard the joyful screams from the inflatables, he was eager to get down and check it out! Turbo instantly clicked with Coach and as most of you know that initial introduction quickly determines the outcome of any event with a stranger.

We had fun running around pairing up cones by color, learning to kick over cones as well as picking them up without using his hands amongst other exercises.  As the saying goes “Time flies when you’re having fun”.

After Turbo gave Coach three hugs good-bye we were on our way. It goes with out saying we will be back!

If you’re interested in visiting the classes for various ages at the Arena you can find the full list on the Missoula Indoor Soccer Arena’s website.

If you are planning on visiting make sure you allow yourself some extra time after class to enjoy the ZooTown InflataPark at no extra cost.  Also, as a thank you from MISA your first class is free!

Do you know of any toddler activities here in the Missoula area? Do you have a special event coming up that is kid friendly? We would love to hear about them so we can begin creating a calendar of events for families to reference!
