UM Baseball: Griz vs Boise State Saturday and Sunday at Ogren Park

Come out this weekend and watch the UM baseball team take on Boise State. Two wins this weekend guarantee the UM baseball team of its first ever Conference Title!  We need your help to cheer on the Griz!

WHEN:

  • Staturday, 4/27 at noon (Double Header)
  • Sunday, 4/28 at 11 am (Single Game)

WHERE:  Ogren Park Allegiance Field

All little league kids in uniform will get an autographed poster.

TICKET INFO: All Seniors, kids and active duty military get in FREE with ID General Admission.  $10 for the Weekend or $5 per game

2 wins guarantee UM its first ever Northern Pacific North Conference Title

Griz have only made the regional tournament one other time and that was in 2011 by way of the wild card.


INDIVIDUAL STATS WORTH NOTING:

    • Shortstop Will Cote is leading the nation in batting average at .591
    • Outfielder Ryota Hoshino from Tokyo Japan is tied with 4 other players for the most stolen bases in the NCBA with 20. (Ryota has done this in 14 games and the other 3 players have played at least 22 games).

  • Second Baseman Brad Bell leads the nation in HBPs with 17.  He is just one short of breaking the Grizzlies single season record held by Nick Hergesheimer who set this record last season.  (It should be noted that Bell wears #37–which holds the same legacy in UM Baseball as it does in UM Football–the toughest, most hard-nosed player gets that jersey number handed to him by the previous #37.)
