Welcome to Episode 1 of Jennifer Shryock’s Work it Video Blog.
Welcome Missoula! I’m Jennifer Shryock, your host for the Work It blog, right here at Make It Missoula.
As owner of Rainmaker Resumes, I’ve been out in the trenches, following employment trends and talking with local experts to learn the skinny on what Missoula job seekers can do to be successful in their job hunt.
Make It Missoula approached me to share those secrets with you. So here I am–your host for Work It Missoula. This will be fun!
What’s my story?
I am an almost-native Montanan—I moved here when I was just two weeks old. I attended the University of Montana and studied a bit in Europe. Summers, I guided hiking and rafting trips in Glacier. After college, I worked in North-East Asia.
Back in the states, I shifted to project management and became a business owner, most recently in Phoenix.
My Calling
In the course of my business, I’ve had the opportunity to review resumes and interview job candidates. I’ve always wanted to help applicants present themselves better. After almost eight years I sold my last business and I couldn’t wait to embark on my true calling—assisting job seekers!
I came home to Missoula to be near friends and family and founded Rainmaker Resumes. I craft custom resumes and cover letters and provide interview coaching and job search guidance.
The Work It Blog
On the Work It blog, we’ll talk about Job Hunting Tips—things like resume and interview techniques, networking and job search strategies. We’ll even visit with Missoula employers to learn their answers to your burning questions.
Make It Yours!
I’m always open for questions and comments. What topics you would like me to cover? Is there a job search situation that you’re not sure how to handle? Or what to say? Which employers, politicians, or experts would you like to hear from? You can email me at Jennifer@makeitmissoula.com.
And please, check back often for the latest secrets to make your job search a success!

As a frequent inteviewer in a public corporation, I know that a professional, to the point, resume can mean the difference in whether an applicant gets an interview. There are usually many qualified applicants for every available job in this time of high unemployment. A prepared and polished applicant will always get the job over other candidates. Getting helpfrom Jennifer can really make the difference in getting the job you want.
