Missoula's continued growth has lead to an increase in the demand for flight travel. As a result, the Missoula International Airport has increased flight frequency as well as the number of destinations flown to.

Commercial Airlines

Missoula’s continuous growth during recent years has lead to increased demand for air service in and out of town. The Missoula International Airport has made great strides to increase capacity by offering increasingly frequent flights to more cities around the country.

Current airport improvement projects include security system upgrades, air traffic tower improvements, a new passenger loading bridge for Delta Airlines, and a de-icing apron for the planes. In 2007, the Missoula International Airport saw 564,922 arrivals/departures and averaged 1,200 seats on 20 flights every day.
